For the true wine enthusiast, who wants to gain more knowledge on wine, Proefgoed offers the wine certificate course. During this course we will be ‘blind tasting’. With the course book in hand we will learn about the following subject in eight lessons:
• history of wine
• winemaking
• the process of vinification
• how to treat wine
• buying and storage of wine
• serving and the temperature of wine
• wine tasting and decanting
• wine and dining
• wine label regulations en wine law
• French, German, Italian, Chilean, Australian, South-African, Spanish, Portuguese and other wine areas.
The course consists of eight evenings from 19.30-22.00. We will taste three white and three red wines. ‘Wine Certificate’ is also the pre-course to the full oenology (sommeliers) schooling.
The course will be held on a typical Dutch sailing ship at the museum harbour in Amsterdam and led by a qualified wineologist.
